We spoke with Courage Expert, Bill Treasurer about Courage and Leadership. Bill is an author, daredevil and founder and Chief Encouragement Officer of the world’s first courage-building consulting firm, Giant Leap Consulting, Inc. Bill is a former member of the U.S. High Diving Team. For seven years he travelled the world performing with a team of high performing athletes. During that time, Bill did over 1500 high dives from heights that scaled to over 100 feet . . . sometimes on fire! (And you can see a video of Bill performing this feat below).Bill is the author of a number of books, including Courage Goes to Work: How to Build Backbones, Boost Performance, and Get Results, and Right Risk: Ten Powerful Principles for Taking Giant Leaps with Your Life.For almost two decades, Bill has been building workforce courage. Bill and Giant Leap have conducted over 500 corporate workshops focused on strengthening leadership skills, improving team performance, accelerating innovation, and helping executives behave more courageously. Bill and Giant Leap have facilitated sessions for major corporations around the planet. Prior to founding Giant Leap, Bill was an executive in Accenture’s change management practice, where he became the $19 billion dollar company’s first fulltime internal executive coach.Bill’s insights have been featured in over 100 newspapers, and in many major magazines and journals. Bill holds a Masters degree in Administrative Science from the University of Wisconsin, and attended West Virginia University on a full athletic scholarship for springboard diving.
